Cr Mack was re-elected by six votes to three at tonight’s ordinary council meeting.

Cr Amanda Cohn was re-elected as Deputy Mayor by five votes to four.

Cr Mack thanked his fellow councillors for their support, saying he’s looking forward to continued work on a range of improvements across the city.

“In recent times we’ve begun work on some very exciting projects, such as the Riverside Precinct development and the upgrade of the Lavington Sports Ground, and in the months and years ahead we’ll see some of those works brought to fruition, delivering lots of benefits to the community,” he said.

“I’m also looking forward to continuing our work with the people of Thurgoona to plan for the future of the rapidly-growing area and of course we’ll continue to collaborate closely with our colleagues at Wodonga Council to build upon the successes of the Two Cities One Community partnership.”
