Buffalo girl inspired storytime

Posted on September 26, 2018

Local author Judy Anne Dalrymple sets out to inspire children to achieve their dreams with her story of an adventurous and ambitious girl in the bush.

She will read her new picture book Buffalo Girl at special story time sessions in Emerald, Blackwater, Springsure, Rolleston, Capella and Tieri during October and November.

The book follows the adventures of a young girl who trains a water buffalo to perform tricks and is based on a true story.

Mrs Dalrymple, a local mum with a rural background, seeks to fill the gap in children’s books geared towards rural children.

When telling her own children stories from her past in the bush she realised there were no books covering the topic.
