Bells Road sits within Golden Plains Shire and Cherry Flat Road is within the City of Ballarat. 

Cherry Flat Road to the Bells Road intersection was reduced from 100km to 80km in recent years while Bells Road remains 100km.  

With regard to the speed limit for Bells Road we recommend contact is made with Golden Plains Shire.

However even a municipal road must receive approval from VicRoads for any speed limit alteration.

The intersection is within the City of Ballarat’s Precinct Structure Plan for Ballarat West.  Please see the attached link which outlines the future traffic management plans for the precinct.
