Bland Shire Council 26 Sep 2018

Author, inspirational speaker, business leader and founder of the famous Beechworth Bakery. Tom O’Toole, will be the special guest speaker at the Bland Shire Small Business Month dinner at the West Wyalong Services and Citizens Club on Tuesday 9 August.

The dinner is an opportunity for business owners from across the Bland Shire to come together to network, seek ideas and inspiration from Mr O’Toole and enjoy a free two course meal courtesy of funding from Evolution Mining, Bland Shire Council  and the New South Wales Government Department of Industry.

State Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke MP, will also be in attendance to meet with local business owners.

“This is a fantastic example of how the Council is celebrating and helping small businesses in the community to see a pathway to help their business grow,” Ms Cooke said.

“Owning your own business can be a real source of pride and satisfaction, knowing that you are creating something that never existed before; it’s vital that all small business owners realise that the NSW Government really appreciates what you do to keep the economy flourishing, keep people in jobs and give back to your communities.”

Mr O’Toole, also widely known as “The Beechworth Baker”, is a much sought after guest speaker who has inspired tens of thousands of people around the world with his grit, honesty and unorthodox style.

Showing incredible vision, drive and entrepreneurship, Mr O’Toole rose from an impoverished background to create Australia’s most successful standalone retail bakery business. The Beechworth Bakery today employs more than 250 staff and serves more than one million customers each year.

All Bland Shire business owners are encouraged to book their free tickets as soon as possible. The evening commences at 6.30pm for 7pm with bookings to Marina Uys at Council on 6972 2266 or [email protected] by Friday 5 October.
