Mayor Liz Innes has congratulated Eurobodalla’s new Deputy Mayor, Councillor Rob Pollock OAM.
Cr Pollock was elected to the role by councillors at an ordinary meeting of Council on Tuesday.
He takes over from Cr Anthony Mayne, who served in the position for two years.
Cr Pollock has been a local councillor for 31 years and has previously served as Deputy Mayor for 11. Over the decades he has chaired and participated on numerous committees and is the current chair for Regional Development Australia Far South Coast.
Cr Pollock said the role would help in advocating for local and regional development projects, such as the Batemans Bay Regional Aquatic, Arts and Leisure Centre at Mackay Park.
“I’m looking forward to strengthening relationships with state and federal agencies and working together with my colleagues to achieve great outcomes, for both Council and regional development perspectives,” he said.
Cr Pollock was elected to the position for a two-year term.
