As part of Mental Health Month, Lithgow City Council will be hosting a Mental Health Expo at Cook Street Plaza on Thursday 11 October 2018 from 10.00am-2.00pm.

The Mental Health Expo is an event to promote positive mental health and wellbeing in the Lithgow community. This free, public event brings mental health and community service providers together to promote their services, network and connect with the broader community.

“The expo plays an important role in bringing the Lithgow community together to celebrate positive wellbeing and learn more about mental health services available in the Lithgow region,” said Mayor of Lithgow City Council, Clr Ray Thompson.

In 2017, the Mental Health Expo attracted approximately 120 people and featured over 30 stalls with many expo patrons saying they would attend the event again in the future.

“The expo was such a successful event last year, and this year we hope to make it bigger and better,” continued the Mayor. “There will be a variety of stallholders present, including mental health professionals, alternative therapies, physical health practitioners and information on the spiritual dimensions of mental health.

Stallholder registrations for the expo are still open! Join other local organisations in a fun market day atmosphere, with interactive activities, free sausage sizzle and live music.

If you have an interest in enhancing the mental health and wellbeing of our community, then hosting a stall at this year’s Mental Health Expo is the perfect opportunity! Please contact Viktoria Gulabovski on 6354 9999 for an application form and to discuss how you can make your stall interactive to enhance visitor engagement.
