“NetWaste in conjunction with Lithgow City Council and other regional Councils have successfully secured a grant from the Environmental Protection Authority to hold a Household Chemical Cleanout Day in Lithgow on the 22nd November 2015.
The purpose of the program is to recover hazardous chemical waste from households, including cleaning agents, paints, batteries, fire extinguishers, gas bottles and pesticides.
This program aims to reduce the risk to the environment and community by reducing the instances of illegal dumping and accidental poisoning.
Please bring your unwanted household chemicals to the Lithgow Works Depot from 8 am – 4 pm on Sunday the 22ndNovember 2015. To ensure they are disposed of in an environmentally sensitive manner.”
