Moree Plains Shire Council is conducting an asset sale to dispose of some of its plant and equipment that is surplus to requirements.
Council's Fleet Superintendent Bruce Dahlstrom explained the plant and equipment items in the sale have been deemed surplus as a result of changes to Council's Operational Requirements and Plant Replacement Programme.
“The selling price of each item is listed HERE, however, the final price may be negotiated.”
“In the past, items have been via tender, auction or expression; but this time, an item will be considered sold to the first person to confirm their intention to purchase the item and pay,” he said.
Anyone wishing to view the assets on the Surplus Plant and Equipment sale list should contact Mr Dahlstrom either by phone on (02) 6757 3222 or by email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to organise an inspection.
Items that are considered sold will be held for a maximum of 48 hours to allow the purchaser to arrange payment to Moree Plains Shire Council. Payments can be made in person at the Council’s Customer Service Centre in the Max Centre, Level 2, 30 Heber Street, Moree or via direct bank transfer.
Failure to make payment within the timeframe will result in the items being made available to other interested parties.
No asset listed on the Surplus Plant and Equipment sale list will be permitted to leave the Council premises until payment has been settled. Once payment has been made, the purchaser has seven days in which to collect the item or arrange transportation for the item to its new premises.
