Get Online Week will take place from 15-21 October 2018. This year everyone is asked to #Try1thing!

Get Online Week is the UK’s biggest digital inclusion campaign. Delivered in the UK by Good Things Foundation since 2007, the campaign is going global for the first time, with Get Online Week 2018 also taking place in Australia. This year’s Get Online Week 2018 will give people the opportunity to Try 1 Thing - do just one new thing online as a next step to improving their digital skills.

Lithgow Library will be hosting a series of information sessions about our new digital resources – e-Books, e-Audio books and eMagazines. There will be sessions at each of the branches and we will show you how to join the Library and how to access our digital resources from home.

“Digital inclusion is so important for all members of our community,” said Mayor Ray Thompson. “Being connected is a cornerstone of today’s society, so it is wonderful that the library is providing this opportunity to our community.”

The sessions will be held at all library branches. 12.00pm Tuesday 16 October at Portland Library; 11.00am Wednesday 17 October at Wallerawang Library; 11.00am Friday 19 October at Lithgow Library. Morning tea will be provided so please RSVP for catering purposes.
