Celebrating Children's week in Bayside

Wild action zoo, face painting and a baby animal farm will all be on hand to help kids celebrate in Bayside.

Come along for a free action packed morning of fun, 9am - 11 am on Saturday 27 October at Bayside’s Corporate Centre at 76 Royal Avenue, Sandringham.

For this special event Berendale School will also be providing a fundraiser sausage sizzle.

Each year Children’s Week, held on the fourth week in October, celebrates the right of all children to enjoy childhood and creates a time for children to demonstrate their skills, talents and abilities.

This year’s theme is Children's views and opinions are respected. They have the right to express those views freely in all matters affecting the child and the right to be heard.

This theme invites us all to think about the role of education in the lives of children; its importance in helping children to develop skills and talents to the fullest and to respect and value, their parents and culture, the natural environment and the rights of others.

The regular Saturday morning immunisation session will be also held at the same time.
