The Tasmanian Government has commissioned a planning study for the Tasman Highway from Sorell to Hobart to find ways to reduce congestion and improve travel time reliability. This is part of works for the South East Traffic Solution.
The Department of State Growth invites you to have your say and share your experiences of the Tasman Highway by attending drop in sessions and facilitated workshops.
Drop in Sessions
When: Friday 19 October, between 3:30–5:30 pm
Where: Cambridge Community Hall, 989 Cambridge Road, Cambridge
When: Monday 22 October, between 3:30–5:30 pm
Where: CWA Room at the Sorell Memorial Hall, Cole Street, Sorell
When: Wednesday 24 October, between 12:00–2.00 pm
Where: Putalina Room, 4 Salamanca Place, Hobart
There is no formal presentation, however the session will provide an opportunity to meet with the project team and ask questions about the planning study from Sorell to Hobart.
Facilitated Workshops
When: Saturday 20 October, between 2:00–5.00 pm
Where: Midway Point
When: Wednesday 31 October, between 6:00–9:00 pm
Where: Seven Mile Beach
These three-hour sessions require full attendance to discuss topics such as public and active transport options and infrastructure improvements along the highway between the Airport roundabout and the Tasman Bridge.
