As part of the Two Cities One Community initiative, the festival is a month-long celebration of inspiration, innovation and conversation around sustainable living.
The festival runs from 1 – 30 November 2018.
The program will include 45 programmed events and three exhibitions – most free. Twenty event partners have joined AlburyCity and Wodonga Council to put the spotlight on sustainability in November.
Some of the events include, learning to cook with native ingredients, how to save money on energy bills for household and business, sustainable DIY tips for kids, advice on repairing broken household appliances, benefits of ‘tiny houses’ and tours of the Albury Waste Management Centre.
Trinity Anglican College is just one of our festival event partners. They're raising awareness of the 10,241 disposable cups used in Albury Wodonga every day. #My1Matters
The Sustainable Living Fair on Thursday 8 November at QEII Square will be the centrepiece of the festival – presented by Halve Waste, Jacob Toyota and WAW Credit Union.
The fair will be an opportunity for the community to meet the makers, innovators and upcyclers who represent the future of the sustainable economy. It’s for the casual, committed or just plain curious.
