The household chemical cleanout conducted by Lithgow City Council in conjunction with NSW EPA and NetWaste is again providing an opportunity for residents to clean out chemicals from their home and dispose of in an environmentally friendly way.

Council provides a free chemical cleanout once a year with this service being scheduled for Sunday 7th October 2018, open to the public between 8am – 4pm at the Lithgow Council Works Depot, Mort Street Lithgow.

The free household chemical cleanout is a great opportunity for residents to dispose of chemicals in an environmentally friendly way. Council urges local residents to take advantage of this free service.

The following items will be accepted:

From your home: Solvents & household cleaners, floor care products, ammonia based cleaners, fluorescent globes & tubes.

From your car: Batteries, motor oils & fluids.

From the garage: Paint, pesticides, herbicides, poisons, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, pool chemicals, acids & alkalis.
