There are just two weeks left to nominate for the 2019 Australia Day Awards.
Council is currently accepting nominations for Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, and Senior Citizen of the Year.
Australia Day Advisory Group Chair, Christine Adams, said the awards were the ideal way to recognise locals who had made an outstanding contribution to the city.
"If you know someone who has made a difference to our community or region, be sure to give them the recognition they deserve by nominating them for an Australia Day Award," she said.
“And it's not just for volunteers or people who contribute during their own time, the awards can also recognise someone who goes the extra mile in their work life for our community."
Those wishing to make a nomination can find the form and award criteria online.
The Broken Hill Australia Day Awards will be presented at the Broken Hill Civic Centre on 26 January 2019.
Nominations must be received at Council’s Administrative Centre no later than 5pm on Friday, 19 October 2019.
