$1.5 MILLION STRONGER COUNTRY COMMUNITIES FUNDING FOR CARRATHOOL SHIRE COUNCIL

Member for Murray Austin Evans and Carrathool Shire Council are pleased to announce that the Carrathool Shire will receive over $1.5 million dollars worth of funds through round two of the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund. 

“I am proud to announce that through the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund, fought for by the NSW Nationals, we are able to invest over $1.5 million into these important community sites in the Carrathool Shire,” Mr Evans said.                                           

Hillston Caravan Park (refurbishment of the amenities)  $551,000 Hillston Tennis Courts (upgrade to the surface and lighting)  $262,000 Hillston and Goolgowi pools (improvements to facility)  $140,000 Goolgowi Rec Ground (improvements to its amenities)   $  86,000 Merriwagga Tennis Courts (upgrade to the surface and lighting)  $120,000 Rankins Springs Sport and Rec Oval (improvements to facility)  $  66,000 Playgrounds in Carrathool Shire (shade sails)  $120,000 Shire entry and welcome signs  $180,000

“Our communities have got behind the fund and we are seeing hundreds of projects across regional NSW, like these renewal and revitalisation projects in the Carrathool shire area, giving new spirit to our towns and cities.

“Whether it is rebuilding or refurbishing our sporting clubs and town halls or building new amenities that our communities have been asking for, this investment will benefit families in our regions now and for generations to come.

Mr Evans as well as Carrathool shire looks forward to seeing each one of these projects complete, as they are projects for our communities that will be enjoyed by locals and visitors for years to come.
