Grants have been issued to 15 sporting clubs under a revised program which aims to support more clubs across a variety of needs.
The Sporting Event Sponsorship program now distributes funding for events, participation and minor facility improvement categories.
“This is the first round of funding in this new format which offers help to a broader range of sporting club needs,” Works, Parks and Recreation COO Bryce Hines said.
“It’s great to see that we’re able to offer help where it’s really required, and I’m sure recipients of the funding will be better off as a result.”
