Brangus steers reach 324c at Roma store sale...

A total of 5841 head of cattle were consigned at Roma’s store sale on Tuesday. Weaner steers under 220kg topped at 310c and averaged 254c, weaner steers 220-280kg reached 324c and averaged 279c. Steers 280- 350kg reached 301c and averaged 271c, and steers 350-400kg reached 294c and averaged 275c. Feeder steers 400-550kg topping at 295c and averaging 279c. Cows and calves hit $1040/unit.

B R Sinnamon, Tin Hut, Jackson sold Brangus steers to 324c, reaching a top of $910 to average $910. Danor Pty Ltd sold Brangus steers to 311c, reaching a top of $831 to average $708. Sheales Pastoral Co, Nullawart, Roma sold Santa steers to 302c, reaching a top of $620 to average $620. Ryan Brothers, Carlow Station, Blackall sold Santa steers to 301c, reaching a top of $920 to average $825. The Santa heifers sold to 260c, reaching a top of $1142 to average $647.

Thornleigh Grazing, Thornleigh, Blackall sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 300c, reaching a top of $1006 to average $695. Rosehearty Grazing, Merago, Longreach sold Santa cross steers to 300c, reaching a top of $918 to average $771. The Santa cows sold to 248c, reaching a top of $1427 to average $1227. Anrod Pastoral Co, Anrod, Winton sold Droughtmaster cross steers to 298c, reaching a top of $937 to average $634.

Badalia Pastoral Company, Badalia Station, Boulia sold Charolais cross steers to 297c, reaching a top of $881 to average $824. The Charolais cross heifers sold to 254c, reaching a top of $651 to average $613. MB & CM Coomber, Hillcrest, Roma sold Angus cross steers to 295c, reaching a top of $1341 to average $1327. Thornville Grazing & Delahunty Grazing, Thornville, Hughenden sold Droughtmaster steers to 290c, reaching a top of $1448 to average $1175.

AE Cleland, Creekside, Yuleba sold Santa cross steers to 289c, reaching a top of $1354 to average $1301. Green Acres Past Co, Ivellen Stn, Julia Creek sold Red brangus steers to 288c, reaching a top of $1309 to average $1065.

Heifers under 220kg topped at 274c and averaged 230c, while heifers 220-280kg topped at 270c and averaged 235c. Heifers 280-350kg topped at 267c, averaging 240c. Heifers 350-450kg topped at 275c, averaging 252c. BL & AM Rayment, Connemara, Jundah sold Droughtmaster cross heifers to 274c, reaching a top of $578 to average $475. Cows 300-400kg reached 196c and averaged 168c, while cows  400kg-500kg reached 244c and averaged 202c. Cows over 500kg topped at 258c, averaging 228c.
