Thinking of downsizing, or already living in a strata arrangement? Wollongong Central Library will be hosting the Senior Rights Service Strata Living Tour on Monday 15 October.

This free information session will be held from 10am -12noon and will discuss common issues facing senior residents in strata schemes and the best ways to access information and advice.

“This is a great opportunity for seniors who are considering buying or have recently purchased a unit, flat or townhouse to come and find out about their rights,” Wollongong City Lord Mayor Councillor Gordon Bradbery AM said.

“Wollongong is a growing city and we’re seeing an increased number of people moving into properties that are managed by Strata. It’s important that senior residents make the most of education opportunities such as this to learn more about their rights and obligations.”

This event is run by Seniors Rights Service, a community legal centre that protects the rights of older people and provides legal advice, advocacy and educational services.

Places are limited and bookings essential. For more information or to make a booking contact Wollongong Central Library on (02) 4227 7414.
