Town of Cambridge calendar shows off local beauty

The Town of Cambridge has launched a spectacular looking 15-month calendar.

The calendar incorporates all the important dates of events and services provided by the Town that had previously been produced as individual flyers or calendars such as those for waste collections and the Summer of Fun.

Cambridge Mayor Councillor Keri Shannon, said that the calendar should serve as a 'one stop shop' for residents in a hard-copy displayable form.

"The Town appreciates that not all residents have the means or wish to be 'online' and to receive their information that way," Mayor Shannon said.

"In this day and age it seems that your email in-box is full yet your letterbox at home is relatively empty.

"By producing this calendar we are ensuring that all residents receive it not just those with the internet.

"Plus this calendar showcases just what a beautiful part of the world Cambridge is.

"The photos taken, by renowned natural photographer Carwyn, are simply stunning."

With Christmas fast approaching Mayor Shannon suggested that the calendar would make a great gift to interstate or overseas friends and family.

If any resident has not received a calendar, there are limited copies available at the Town Administration Building,Cambridge Library and Bold Park Aquatic Centre.

A copy for download will also be available on the Town's website in the coming weeks.
