Recipients of the 2018 City of Ballarat Youth Awards will be announced at a gala event to be held at the Wendouree Centre for Performing Arts tomorrow evening.

The Youth Awards are an opportunity for the community to celebrate and recognise Ballarat’s many young people who make a positive contribution to the community.

A range of awards will be presented to people aged between 12 and 25 years. Two of the awards are also available for youth allies aged over 25 years.

The Youth Award categories include:

Young Entrepreneur Award STEM Award Positive Youth Leader Award Challenge and Change Award Group Project Award Young Carer Award Leadership in the Arts Award Leadership in Sport Award Youth Volunteer Award Adult Ally Award – Volunteer Adult Ally Award - Worker City of Ballarat Award (12–17 years) City of Ballarat Award (18–25 years)

The ceremony will include live music from 2018 Push Start Finalist FLOC, acoustic artist Shon Dunn and an address from 2018 Youth Awards Ambassadors Macaylah Johnson and Sam Rizzo.
