Do you need to vote in Wollongong City Council’s Ward 3 by-election on Saturday 24 November 2018?
Voting is compulsory for people over the age of 18 enrolled to vote in Ward 3. You can go to the NSW Electoral Commission website to check if you’re enrolled to vote in Ward 3 or to update your details.
The by-election is a result of the resignation of Councillor Chris Connor as of 30 September 2018.
Ward 3 broadly covers Port Kembla and Windang in the east, arcs around central Wollongong to Cordeaux in the north, down to Avon in the west, and Hayward’s Bay and Marshall Mount in the south.
Nominations to be a candidate for election open on Monday 15 October and a Candidate Information Session will be held on Wednesday 17 October at 5.30 pm in the Acacia Room, Dapto Ribbonwood Centre.
