Lithgow, Portland and Wallerawang Libraries will be once again holding basic technology classes for seniors starting from the 17 October 2018, on Wednesday and Thursday mornings between 10.00am and 12.00pm.

“Previous sessions of Tech Savvy Seniors were very popular and highlighted that internet use and computer literacy are important skills that are essential in our society. The classes will provide a gateway for seniors who feel overwhelmed by technology”, said Mayor Ray Thompson.

To provide our senior members of the community with some insight into the requirements of our changing world, the Lithgow Library Learning Centre is hosting Telstra Tech Savvy Seniors classes on Wednesday and Thursday mornings starting from 17 October 2018.  The classes will be held over 6 weeks and are spread across the libraries in Lithgow, Portland and Wallerawang.

Classes range from introduction to the Internet and social media, to smartphones and online shopping and banking. To assist participants to become comfortable using the skills taught in the class, we request that you bring your own device. Bookings are essential.

For more information about the sessions available and to make a booking please contact the Lithgow Library on 6352 9100. You can also find the program on the library website or Facebook page.
