Nominate a local hero for an Australia Day Award

The Australia Day Committee advises that planning for the 2019 Bellingen Shire Australia Day Award Ceremony to be held in Dorrigo is now underway with nominations being sought in the following eight categories.

Citizen of the Year Young Citizen of the Year Sportsperson of the Year Junior Sportsperson of the Year Community Service Community Group Community Event Creative Arts Award for persons 21 years and under

Australia Day provides an opportunity for all of us to celebrate our wonderful country and recognise and thank those special community members who give so much to our local communities plus recognising sporting and other outstanding community and creative achievements.

Closing date for nominations is Monday 3 December 2018.

Further details and nomination forms are available on Council’s Create Community Engagement Hub at http://create.bellingen.nsw.gov.au or hard copies are available from the Dorrigo, Bellingen and Urunga Libraries and Council’s Administration Centre.
