Liverpool City Council invites senior residents to its free Seniors Concert for a day of fantastic live performances and lunch among friends.

Liverpool Mayor Wendy Waller said the concert was a perennial favourite among the over 55s community in Liverpool.

“Most of our seniors’ concerts are fully booked,” Mayor Waller said.

“Tickets for the concert we held last April took a little more than a day to go.”

Talented vocalist Lisa Budin (above, left) sings hits from the likes of The Carpenters, while WP Brennan (above, right) takes inspiration from Rock ‘n Roll and the ballads of greats Peter Allen, Billy Joel and others.

“The Seniors Concert is a wonderful opportunity for Council and the wider community to acknowledge and celebrate the contributions people over 55 have made to our city,” Mayor Waller said.

“One in five of our residents are over 55 and since 2011, there has been a 46% increase in the number of persons aged 85 years or older.”

This event is open to residents of Liverpool City Council and members of Liverpool-based seniors groups only. Seniors must be over 55 years of age.

Tickets to the free event will be available online from 9am, 19 October at www.liverpool.nsw.gov.au/seniorsconcert or by calling 8711 7750.

Liverpool City Council will only issue one ticket per pension or seniors card number provided and there is a limit of four tickets per person.
