Macarthur’s emerging artists live and free at Fisher’s Gig

The ghostliest gig of the year is headed to Bradbury Park on Saturday 3 November from 3pm.

Fisher’s Gig, part of the annual Festival of Fisher’s Ghost since 1998, is an all ages free event featuring non-stop live music from three headline acts and a host of local performers.

Fisher’s Gig is a platform for young performers, aged 12 to 25, to display their talent to a vast audience and gain experience in performing to a live and local audience.

Mayor of Campbelltown, Cr George Brticevic, encouraged the community to make the most of the opportunity to hear and support talented young musicians live on stage.

“Fisher’s Gig started as a band competition and has since grown to become an award-winning music festival showcasing the emerging talent from the Macarthur region,” he said.

“It’s a great way to foster young talent, and gives bands and soloists a leg up in the entertainment industry by providing valuable, professional experience at a live music show.”

The Campbelltown community is invited to come along to see and support these talented young artists live on stage.

This year’s headline acts are: Bootleg Rascal, The VANNS and Rackett.

The local lineup – chosen by the audience and a panel of judges during the Fisher’s Gig Heats at Greg Percival Community Centre in July – includes: Gravity Stone (local headliner), Brunette Drive, The Winter Effect, Helios, Carly Mozsny, and The 902
