Successful Mosquito Treatment Continues

Larval monitoring and factors including impending weather conditions allowed the Shire of Capel Health team to conduct another aerial larvicide treatment for the season last Thursday.
Adult mosquito trapping results indicated similar numbers at this time of year to previous years and residents are reminded to ‘Fight the Bite’ by wearing long loose clothing and using a mosquito repellent that contains DEET or Picardin.
The Health team attended the Party in the Precinct at the new Capel Civic Precinct at the weekend to promote the ‘Fight the Bite’ message.
Attendees discussed information regarding the mosquito management program and plenty of free merchandise was handed out.
