Funds approved for Yambuna Bridge
Council has approved $57,000 from the Asset Renewal budget to jointly fund work to Yambuna Bridge, a bridge on the boundary of Moira Shire and Campaspe Shire, crossing the Goulburn River.
Yambuna Bridge is currently reduced to a load limit of six tonnes and the proposed works will increase the load restrictions to 12 tonne to support local residents and emergency service vehicles.
Works were identified through detailed bridge inspections, with Moira Shire engaging a specialist bridge consultant to complete design works and estimated costings of works required. The works will bring the bridge back to its original design load of 12 tonne.
