Councillor message - Drought Support Information - Cr Graham Lohmann

It’s always rewarding to see people come together in times of need.

This difficult period of drought is one of those times and I’m very pleased to report that Council has recently been advised of a number of not-for-profit organisation drought relief programs either currently being administered or in the early stages of development.

To help these organisations get the word out about these valued schemes, Council has created a dedicated webpage which will list available programs we are advised of and how to find out information about them.

It’s important to note each program is run differently, so it is best to get in touch with each organising body to see if you are eligible for assistance and what type of assistance is offered.

We also want to encourage any other organisations offering such drought assistance programs to contact Council and be included on this page.

We as a Council are also in the process of implementing our Community Drought Support Package following a period of community consultation and will list details on this site as well.
