Twilight is back at Mildura Arts Centre this Friday with two local bands taking centre stage.
Twilight is a free outdoor community event on the Mildura Arts Centre lawns featuring live entertainment from local artists and children’s activities, and is all about showcasing local talent.
Student Cameron McKenzie and music coordinator from Merbein P-10, Josh Hudson, will perform contemporary pop hits as a duo as part of the season-opening night of Twilight this Friday.
The Beagles meanwhile is a five-piece band featuring Bill Sauer, Graeme Cupper, Noel Costa, Warren Lloyd and Luke McCarthy, who will perform soft rock classics, which are sure to delight Twilight attendees.
Local company Verdict Catering will be serving up some delicious treats on the night and people can grab something from the café too.
Mildura Rural City Councillor for Arts and Culture Jason Modica said Twilight is a popular event with locals.
“This wonderful community event showcases local emerging and established talent, and gives musicians a platform to perform and share their talent with the community,” Cr Modica said.
“There will be activities to keep the kids entertained and people can wander through Rio Vista and the galleries too.”
The late opening hours will also give people the chance to see Mildura Arts Centre’s diverse exhibitions program.
Twilight at Mildura Arts Centre runs from 5pm to 8.30pm this Friday 19 October.
