The third progress report of the City of Ballarat’s performance against the Council Plan 2017-2021 will be presented at the October 24 Ordinary Council Meeting.

The three-month performance report, from April to June 2018, is a summary of the Council’s progress against its four goals of liveability, prosperity, sustainability and accountability to ensure all published commitments are on track.

Highlights from the third progress report include:

Completion of the $230,000 Mount Pleasant Reserve open space physical activity hub Lake Wendouree Master Plan development, adoption and the start of implementation, including lodging a funding application for Steve Moneghetti Track lighting, Paralympic Precinct completion and submitting a cultural heritage permit application for approval Integrated Waste Management Strategy adoption, including Clean Ballarat recommendations An internal Gender Equity Action Plan finalised following the roll out of the Women’s Health Grampians Act@Work program Customer Satisfaction Survey completed, with resident satisfaction with the City of Ballarat recorded as 72 per cent, significantly higher than 2017’s score of 68 per cent

The City of Ballarat adopted its four-year Council Plan on 28 June 2017.

It outlines Council’s priorities and outcomes for its four-year term and how these will be resourced, along with reinforcing Ballarat’s position as the capital of Western Victoria.

Regular reporting to Councillors and the community is a key principle of transparency and good governance.

The Council Plan report is provided to Council on a quarterly basis and published online for the community to access.
