Citizens cash in by paying their rates in full

Five happy City of Armadale residents have won up to $2000 in cash just for paying their council rates in full by 14 September.

All City of Armadale ratepayers automatically go into the draw to win cash prizes courtesy of the City of Armadale, Westpac and Bendigo Bank when payment is received in full by the due date.

The City of Armadale awarded a cash prize of $2000, while Westpac provided two cash prizes of $1500 and Bendigo Bank provided two cash prizes of $500.

Residents V Kumar of Piara Waters and A Biggs of Roleystone were among this year’s lucky winners who were randomly selected through a digital process.

Armadale Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said it was a great opportunity for householders to win a cash prize just for paying their rates in full.

“Winning this competition would make a big difference to the family budget and paying your rates in full by the due date is also one of the cheaper options in the long run.”

The City also offers residents flexible rate payment options on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis through A Smarter Way to Pay.

Through this initiative, the City's Rates team can help customise payment plans for residents according to their budget and review the plan each year.
