The City of Armadale will celebrate the future leaders of the community with a program of events during National Children's Week from 21-29 October.
Mayor Henry Zelones OAM, JP said it was the perfect time to create awareness of the needs and achievements of children in the City.
“Children's Week is an opportunity to put the focus on nurturing the children of today to ensure they are supported in reaching their full potential,” he said. “It's also a good forum for the talented young citizens in our community to get together and showcase their skills and capabilities.”
Events range from arts activities and outdoor fun to workshops for parents. Discover what the Paint the Highway REaD Egg will hatch into, hear stories, sing songs, join in the craft activities, attend a workshop on teaching children to be safe and socialise at the Play in the Park playgroup.
Also forming part of Children's Week is the Piara Waters Community Festival on Sunday 28 October which will celebrate the rich diversity of one of the fastest growing regions in Australia.
