AlburyCity Mayor Kevin Mack, who’s a passionate campaigner against graffiti, wants everyone to get involved in the removal and prevention of graffiti from business and properties.
“Graffiti vandalism costs local businesses, households, the NSW Government and AlburyCity millions of dollars each year,” he said.
“This is money that could instead be invested in roads, sporting facilities, schools and hospitals.”
Last year, more than 1,800 volunteers removed more than 30,000 square metres of graffiti from almost 500 sites across NSW and organisers are hoping for an even bigger response this year.
The AlburyCity Youth Council is again partnering with the NSW Government in supporting this day of action.
