Aussie Backyard Bird Count
The Backyard Bird Count will run from 22 -28 October. The initiative involves spending
20 minutes counting birds in a backyard or somewhere in the local area. To download

Pet Desexing Program
The next community pet desexing program for pensioners and low-income earners that reside in the Bathurst LGA will run from 19-30 November. The subsidised cost for this desexing program is as follows:

The cost of microchipping is included for both dogs and cats. First vaccinations are included for dogs only. Pain relief and hospitalisation are included in the cost for both dogs and cats. Places are limited and bookings are essential. To book contact one of the following surgeries:

NMRM Celebrating 50 Years of Holden
This year marks 50 years since Holden’s first outright victory in the October touring car classic at Mount Panorama. To mark this anniversary, the National Motor Racing Museum (NMRM) will feature a special exhibition of some classic race winning Holden race cars.
Free water for Primary Producers
Council has also reduced the cost of water from the Hereford Street standpipes by 50 per cent. The charge of $5/kl has been reduced to $2.50kl under a provision in Council’s water pricing policy for drought affected areas.

Inland Sea of Sound
Bathurst Skate Park Expansion
Planning has commenced to expand Bathurst Skate Park. The extension will provide more obstacles that will cater to different skill levels and riding disciplines. The contractor, Convic, will host a workshop at 5.30pm on Thursday, 25 October at BMEC to seek input from the community and ideas of what should be included in the design. Draft CBD CCTV Policy Public Exhibition
Council has prepared a Draft Bathurst Central Business District (CBD) Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) Policy, which is on exhibition for community feedback. Hard copies of the Draft Policy are available for viewing at the Civic Centre and Bathurst Library, or can be downloaded from the Your Say Bathurst website. Submissions can be lodged via Your Say Bathurst or in writing to The General Manager, Private Mail Bag 17, Bathurst, NSW, 2795. Submissions can be made until 4.00pm Thursday 15 November 2018.
