Dinosaurs, rhymes, garden craft and stories – it’s all at the Orbost library next week.
East Gippsland Shire Council is participating in National Children’s Week and will host activities at the Customer Service Centre (library) on Tuesday and Thursday.
This year’s Children’s Week, being supported by Council, will be held from October 19-28, with events across the shire. Residents are being encouraged you to get involved and join in the celebrations.
Council’s free Orbost events include:
Storytime with Dorothy the Dinosaur – a special Storytime including songs, activities and a visit from Dorothy the Dinosaur. Date: Tuesday, October 23. Time: 10.30-11.30am. Ages: 0-5 years. Garden Craft Activity Session – listen to stories, play games, win prizes and make a craft for your garden at this after school session. Date: Tuesday, October 23. Time: 3.45-4.45pm. Ages: 5-12 years. Bookings essential. Rhymetime – sessions last for about 30 minutes in which parents will learn rhymes, actions and activities to assist in their child’s literacy development. Date: Thursday, October 25. Time: 10-10.30am. Ages: 0-2 years.
