Summer is nearing and staff at Campaspe Shire Council are busy preparing the seven outdoor pools, ready for opening on Saturday, 10 November.
Recreation Manager Brett Flavell said the outdoor pools in Colbinabbin, Kyabram, Lockington, Rochester, Rushworth, Stanhope and Tongala will soon be open for the summer season.
“Council has been busy facilitating pool clearing, cleaning and filling ready for opening day,” Mr Flavell said.
The Rochester pool has recently been painted and general maintenance works have been completed at all locations to ensure a good start to the 2018/19 pool season.
Last year’s pool season saw council record its highest attendance across the seven outdoor pools with 38,905 visitations through the turn styles at outdoor pools. Contributing factors include:

Council will continue to offer aqua aerobics and the Bronze Medallion Programs this season where there is community demand.
“Community involvement is always welcome regarding programs and events at pools,” Mr Flavell said.
Pools will remain open until the long weekend in March, with the final day of the summer season on Monday, 11 March 2019.
