At the NSW Local Government Conference at Albury, close to 100 motions were debated and finalised during the first day of business. Deputy Mayor Wayne McAndrew and Councillor Cassandra Coleman moved and seconded key motions, as well as speaking to a number of issues that were important to the Lithgow Local Government Area.
Away from the conference debate, Councillors McAndrew and Coleman engaged with other Mayors and Councillors on matters of common interest and concern, including improving and amending motions to focus the policy of Local Government NSW.
“Both Councillor Coleman and I took every opportunity to ensure that the Lithgow community was at the heart of everything we discussed, whether it was taking part in the debate, networking or advocacy behind the scenes” said Deputy Mayor Wayne McAndrew.
Councillor Cassandra Coleman said “The Annual Local Government conference gives Councillors the opportunity to learn and bring back ideas that could potentially improve our own Lithgow Local Government Area well into the future.”
