Cessnock City Council’s thrilled to announce the annual Scooter, Bike and Skate competition next month and is calling young people to sign up.
The event hosted by CYCOS kicks off at 10am at the Cessnock Skate Park on Saturday 24 November and wraps up at 4pm. It’s free event and caters to all levels including beginners, intermediate and advanced. Those lucky enough to take out a prize will be impressed with some great prizes up for grabs.
For those who aren’t keen to hit the skate park you’ll have just as much fun on the sidelines watching the action or taking part in one of the other activities on offer. Cessnock City Mayor Councillor Bob Pynsent said this is a great community event for the young people and their families living in or visiting Cessnock.
“This is a great way for young people to connect with those who share similar interests and passions. This event always attracts lots of interest and lots of dare devils showing off their skills.” Entry forms will be available on the day, can be picked up from the Cessnock Youth Centre located a 49D Aberdare Road, Cessnock. The form can also be downloaded from Council’s website at www.cessnock.nsw.gov.au/community/youth/events.Young people who are under 18 years old will need their parent or guardian to sign the form.
