The CFS has declared an early start to the Fire Danger Season due to a dry winter and increased temperatures for spring. The Fire Danger Season will now commence on 1 November 2018.

The CFS encourages landholders to prepare for the early season by cleaning up around their homes, clearing vegetation, mowing grass and clearing gutters. For burning of excess vegetation ensure a four metre break around burn piles, have someone in attendance and ensure water is on hand to contain any breaks.
