We’re giving you more mulch for free!

Council’s transfer stations have mountains of mulch to move, and during November we are inviting shire residents to bring a shovel, container or trailer, and protective clothing to a transfer station to load up on mulch for free.

The mulch is available while stocks last from our transfer stations in Kyneton, Romsey and Woodend, and is produced from garden organic materials.

Applying mulch at this time of year can help conserve water and protect plants from the summer heat.

This is a first-come, self-load offer, available during November to Macedon Ranges Shire residents. Proof of residency such as a driver licence, rates notice or utility bill is required.

The amount of mulch available at transfer stations may vary.

For locations and opening hours, visit transfer stations.
