Community wins with seniors grants

Campaspe Shire Council has contributed $10,500 in funding to 19 community groups that will assist with the delivery of projects and events via the Seniors Program Grants.

Mayor Cr Adrian Weston said the program provides donations of up to $1,000 to community groups that deliver programs or events aimed at increasing the health, wellbeing and social connectedness of older citizens in Campaspe Shire.

“With 25 per cent of Campaspe residents aged 60 and over, council is committed to financially assisting community groups with opportunities via the Seniors Grants Program,” Cr Weston said.

“The program is so successful, applications doubled this year.”
