A new sports pavilion at Comely Banks Recreation Reserve is a step closer with the appointment of a principal architect to provide design services.
The proposed pavilion will be located at the new Comely Banks Recreation Reserve sporting precinct, at 125 Bridge Road in Officer, alongside Bridgewood Primary School and Integrated Child and Family Centre.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Councillor Collin Ross said the building will provide amenities to cater for football, rugby league, lawn bowling (synthetic surface), and cricket teams.
“The appointed architect will be working closely with contractors working on detailed design for the reserve.
“This project will deliver a recreation facility that will enable this growing community to participate in a range of sport, recreation and leisure activities, designed in a sustainable way and that will support improved health and wellbeing in the community,” Cr Ross said.
