Charters Towers Regional Council is conducting a community satisfaction survey over the coming weeks to obtain feedback regarding the importance of Council’s functions and services to the community.
The survey will measure how well Council is performing each function and service and is the first of its kind conducted by Council.
The survey will align to the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) Community Satisfaction Tracking Study to enable benchmarking of the results to that of the wider state.
Charters Towers Regional Council Mayor, Cr Liz Schmidt said Council wants to know how satisfied the community is with the job they are doing.
“The survey is aimed at gathering residents’ opinion about the importance and performance of municipal services and our efforts.
“The survey and final report will be undertaken by an experienced external company, Market Facts Qld Pty Ltd, to ensure residents feel they can provide honest and open answers.
“The goal is to conduct the survey every two years with the obvious objective for the Council to try and increase future performance down the track based real benchmarks.
“The results will assist the Council in future decision making” said Mayor Schmidt.
Residents will be selected at random and the questionnaire should take, on average, 10-15 minutes to complete over the phone.
“If you are contacted to complete the survey, I encourage you to take the opportunity to provide constructive feedback to Council.”
The survey will commence this weekend with Market Facts hoping to finalise surveys by mid November.
The information provided will be used only for the purpose stated.
No personal information will be released to a third party by Market Facts.
