Zooming like a rocket into the sky is how children have described the new playspace at WesburnReserve recently completed by Council.
The playspace includes a spiral slide, rock climbing wall, basket swing, spinner, climbing tower, refurbished netball court and nature play elements including log steppers.
Wesburn mother of two, Belinda said the family friendly space provided generous sized equipment and encouraged her to get in on the action and play with her children.
Cr Jim Child said he had received great feedback from families and children in the area.
“The playspace and surrounding landscape complements the park perfectly,” Cr Child said.
“The recreation area is known for being quite popular and it’s nice to see the new space accommodate children of mixed ages and really provide a place where they can play, explore and imagine.
“The natural design enhances the space with logs made into stepping stones, bench seats and sluice boxes with gemstones.”
Four year old Wesburn local Matilda said the slide was her favourite thing but she has the most fun with her little brother on the swing, “trying their hardest to touch the sky”.
