Saturday, November 10, 2018, 9:30am – 12pm Brisbane City Council is hosting a Character Design Forum for residents to contribute to a set of design principles that will guide future extensions and adaptations to our city’s Queenslanders and other traditional designs. This event marks the launch of the online forum and is an opportunity to celebrate our city’s residential character and for residents to participate in a discussion about how they can be best adapted and extended to meet changing lifestyles while respecting the character of our suburbs. Residents will discuss what elements of the building, site and streetscape of Queenslanders and other traditional designs they value, what levels of protection they’d like to see for different styles and in what circumstances, as well as the extent of change to these buildings is acceptable. The launch event will be a 9.30am registration for a 10am start. Please note that the online forum will be available for residents to have their say from 10 November until 31 December 2018.
