Upgrading the Balwyn Community Centre

We’re upgrading the Balwyn Community Centre, turning it into a convenient one-stop hub to meet the needs of our growing population.

The upgraded centre will contain more functional spaces, which will better support community programs, groups and services. It will include occasional child care, a new recreation zone and a relocated and expanded Balwyn Maternal and Child Health Centre. The centre will be in a beautiful parkland setting and the heritage character of the existing building will be retained.

We’ve awarded the contract for the upgrade works, and construction will commence later this year.

Balwyn Community Centre has been temporarily relocated to 230 Balwyn Road, Balwyn North. Activities, programs and services will continue at this location throughout construction, and ample car parking is available on site.
