The third Bellarine Arts Trail will be held over the Melbourne Cup weekend at various locations across the Bellarine Peninsula.

Follow the trail from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November 2018 to discover art and meet the artists in their studios and at galleries and creative venues throughout Queenscliff, Point Lonsdale, Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads.

Borough of Queenscliffe Mayor, Cr Susan Salter, is encouraging residents to immerse themselves in local culture, with the event featuring home grown artistic talent including painters, sculptors, photographers, jewellers, illustrators, glass blowers and more.

“An event highlight this year is the inclusion of world renowned sculptor Rod Dudley, who will open his Queenscliff studio to visitors to display sculptures in wood and bronze created in his Italian studio, where he spends six months of the year. Rod will also exhibit his ‘Empire Day’ group sculpture of 1981, first shown at the Adelaide Festival, at the Queenscliff Town Hall,” said Cr Salter.

Participating venues in the Borough of Queenscliffe include local commercial galleries, the Pavilion at Queenscliff, the Point Lonsdale Primary School, the Queenscliff Town Hall, and the Queenscliffe Neighbourhood House.

Arts Trail maps are available from the Queenscliffe Visitor Information Centre, Borough of Queenscliffe Council offices and Arts Trail venues, or you can visit the Barwon Heads Arts Council website, www.barwonheadsartscouncil.com.au to download a printable version of the Bellarine Arts Trail map.

The Bellarine Arts Trail is proudly brought to you by the Barwon Heads Arts Council, with the support of the Borough of Queenscliffe and the City of Greater Geelong.
