Protecting Boroondara’s significant trees

We are calling on your help to identify significant trees on private property which should be considered for protection.

Until 7 December, you can nominate a tree for inclusion on our Significant Tree register by completing our online survey.

Nominated trees will be assessed based on size, history, age, amenity, value, habitat and type.

Currently, the Boroondara Significant Tree register identifies more than 1000 trees (specimens) across 300 different properties.

These trees are protected under Council’s Tree Protection Local Law. Council is commencing a review of the Significant Tree Register to ensure it is up to date.
