26 October 2018

Albany’s Green Fair on the Square will return to the Town Square on Saturday November 3 between 9am and 1pm, in the annual celebration of all things recycled, upcycled, green and sustainable.

In its third year, the popular event will include a Festival of Forgotten Skills as well as live entertainment, green tips and upcycled treasures.

The inaugural Festival of Forgotten Skills will give patrons the chance to learn handy skills such as basic knitting, crochet and mending, soap making, book binding, shoe polishing, bike tube mending and how to check water and power meters.

The effervescent Eco Faeries will bring their green-themed stage show back to Albany and join Happy Feet Fitness, Jamie the Clown and the RCNC Community Garden in the Green Sprouts Kids Corner.

The popular Artisan Upcycled Marketplace brings together talented artisans featuring products made from recycled materials and Fossicker’s Tip Shop marquee will provide a sample of what’s available in store.

A special debut performance from the Shantylillies will feature amongst a great line up of entertainment including the Shantymen and Myles Mitchell and the Great Southern Roots.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cup and the first 50 to arrive by bike will receive a free refreshment voucher.
