17 October The City of Cockburn has taken the first step towards moving its headquarters from Spearwood to Cockburn Central. Elected Members voted to exchange land the City owned on Linkage Avenue with a comparable, Landcorp owned lot on Veterans Parade opposite Cockburn ARC. The new lot is planned to be developed into a new administration and council chambers over the next four years.

The City of Cockburn has adopted a plan to improve sporting grounds accross the City's Western Suburbs.
